Challenge your cravings by changing your mindset.
If I were to ask you which of them foods do you crave the most , they probably wouldn’t be ones that have been very healthy. I bet they will be frozen goodies, canned foods, pizza, or something along those lines. People are used to junk foods because they are readily available just about every corner, so it won’t be uncommon that such foods are really hard to avoid.
The fact the matter is that such foods in the long time are dangerous to the body.Stop if you’ll and take into consideration it.You’ll find out,its easier to stop than you think. You can really affect the way you eat just by changing your mind set.
In other words is that you can change what you crave by changing how you think.
Every new client that comes to my office for weight-loss carries a “craving problem.” But I don’t find it as a problem at all. I see it as a solution. Cravings are over-rated. They are hodge-podge and now we don’t must be controlled by them. We don’t must feel temped by soft ice cream, cookies or 20-ounce prime ribs. Instead, we could be tempted by watermelon, pineapple, oranges or apples; foods prefer that. Think that sounds crazy? Well it isn’t and you’ll discover why.
When I first sit down and discuss with a client regarding their eating habits, I gather everything I need to know about exactly what they eat and how they eat. The culprit with their weight problem always amounts to snacking, picking, eating meals that are unhealthy or simply plain over-eating. Then I’ll inquire further what vegetables and fruit they like. I’m yet to encounter someone who hates fruit or hates every vegetable in the sunshine. Finally I’ll inquire further how often they eat fruits or vegetables and it’s always less often compared to the unhealthy stuff.
Αfter I’ve gathered my arsenal of info, perform our thing. I’ll have my clients lay back in my recliner and close their eyes. I’ll direct their mind to your peaceful place, and in minutes they’ll be relaxed like never before.
Then I start talking relating to favorite fruit and veggies.
I’ll inquire to imagine going for a bite of their favorite juicy, ripe fruit and to feel the juices tickling their taste buds.
I’ll say with their mind, “from now on whenever you have a craving for food, you are going to think of a juicy, ripe little bit of fruit. And bingo!!! Next thing you know these are exactly the kinds of foods they start desiring. Why? Because anytime you close the eyes and bring yourself to some calm, relaxed place, your subconscious mind emerges, and it is this the main mind that controls that which you crave. Change your thoughts and you’ll change everything you crave. Simple.
Let’s understand this from another perspective. Let’s say pineapple is the favorite fruit. Now, if you’ve been sitting with me at this time and I gave a juicy chunk of it, you would enjoy it thoroughly. And you’d want more, right? Of course. Now, let’s say I reached into my refrigerator, whipped-out a part of chocolate cake and said, “choose one.” Most likely you’d probably opt for the pineapple since you just a teaser-piece, which may make your head want more. The fact in the matter is that this: you enjoy your favorite fruits just as much as you love it your favorite junk food, you just believe otherwise.
Again, cravings are over-rated. The mere mention of this devilish word always usually conjures-up images of high calorie, high-fat foods only because these are the foods you might be most exposed to in our media driven world.
Your subconscious gets used to this and doesn’t know any better. Change your minds images and you’ll improve your cravings.
Here’s a simple 5 minute mental exercise begin doing now to help you start changing how you crave food.
Step 1: Find a comfortable, quiet place high are no distractions. Begin breathing deeply until you might be quite relaxed. Next, count backwards from 10-1, slowly. With each count, imagine that your mind is drifting deeper and deeper.
Step 2: After you have finished counting, imagine that you are relaxing by yourself in your chosen place. A secluded beach or possibly a log in the woods is going to do the trick. Imagine yourself feeling so very relaxed and peaceful.
Step 3: Next, create a basket full of your favorite fresh picked fruit sitting right beside you. See it clearly in mind, the colour, the feel, everything about that fruit. Imagine having a bite of this juicy fruit and enjoying it for the first time.
Step 4: Repeat these suggestion to yourself 10 x: “From now on, anytime I think of eating, I immediately feel a probing for fruit.”
Step 5: Count from 1 to 15 steps away from craving’s source eg burger stands or any type of fast food carts, keeping walking, don’t look back and don’t think about it….and in less than a min,you should be cravings free.
